Rick's Corvette Cafe has just acquired this 1966 Corvette Convertible 427/425HP from the Cliff Nelson collection. This gorgeous '66 is the "real deal," 100% all original, numbers matching, L72, 427 cubic inch 425 horsepower engine. This car is presented exactly the way it was born, sans the Knock-Off wheels (yes, this is an original side pipe car). "Chevrolet insists that there are only 425 horses in there and we'll just have to take their word for it," reported Car and Driver in their 1966 road test. Our 1966 Corvette is finished in beautiful Code 972 Ermine White with Code 414 bright blue vinyl interior. Code U69 AM/FM radio, Code A01 tinted glass, Code M21 4-speed manual, close ratio transmission, and 4:11 rear end, and the Code N13 side mounted exhaust. The reproduction Knock-Off wheels mounted on Gold Line radial tires were added. This Corvette underwent a two year complete, professional, body-off restoration, and was completed in 1998. Only a scant 200 miles has been added since. This three owner 1966 corvette has a no hit body and all of it's original fiberglass. Only right and left NOS parking light panels were replaced during the restoration. Every last number on this car matches with the exception of the starter.
